Guillem Balague recently confirmed that Real Madrid has been on a mission since this season began to find a viable buyer for Cristiano Ronaldo. The club is now faced with a tough decision to make, whether to let go of Ronaldo or to sign him a new contract that will expire in summer 2018, and the Portugal nationalist has been linked several times to a move away from the Bernabeu in the Spanish and British press.
Ronaldo became Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer in October. However, Balague, in a recent report told the press that the La Liga side has not received any offers yet, despite the numerous links to Manchester United and PSG.
According to Balague, the club has made lots of efforts all season to find a club that would be interested in the player. On his part, Ronaldo has been toying around with the idea. Despite having met Ronaldo for about five different times, Man U has failed to purchase him. In fact, they think that Ronaldo has been priced too high or is too expensive.
Real Madrid, having a FIFA ban directly impacting on their decisions, have only two options to choose from: they either renew his contract or sell him at a cheaper price to willing buyer.
Real offered the player two additional years, but he wants three. Out of 44 appearances, Ronaldo has managed to score 47 goals in all the competitions the club has taken place in this season. Ronald suffered a thigh muscle injury while playing against Villarreal where they won 3-0.
Sergio Ramos advised that Ronaldo is not a superman, and he should start playing only a selected few games. Zidane on the other hand, refuted this advice, saying that it is not easy telling Ronaldo not to play, but to tell him to recover quickly and be at his best by the end of the season.
Manchester United has always been widely popular, so much that its fans are present all over the world; from China and Africa to places like the Old Trafford. However, what’s the reason behind the entire craze for them?
There has always been a debate about the supporters of Manchester not being from there. Some say most of them belong to London while the rest are not in England also. This seems to be true, as the club is not only famous nationally but on an international scale too. Some of these fans are so dedicated that they focus on every single one of their moves, judging each and every player. On the other hand, some supporters who are called glory supporters only show up whenever there is a victory by the club.
A snowball effect can be witnessed here as all the television networks make a point of broadcasting even the most minor news about them and their games because they are likely to win all the time.As the club seems to win so often, the viewers expect the only victory from them, enjoy the game and instantly become fans. They are confident that whenever they start watching their game, it will be a good experience.
Companies are wise enough to see the pattern of winnings that has long been associated with this team. This is what makes them broadcast their news and games all the time so that they get a high number of viewers.Part of the reason behind all the hype is that people like to feel good. They also save themselves from all the disappointment which would be present in case they supported a team which would often loose.
In case there isn’t any decent team worth supporting, it is expected that most people would choose a foreign team which would bring them the happiness of victory.
